The Product
A rubber foot/rubber top is missing from my ladder. Can I use the ladder anyway? Where can I buy new ones?
If your ladder lacks a rubber foot/rubber top, it must be replaced immediately to prevent dirt and debris from entering the ladder frame and impairing its function. New rubber feet/tops can be purchased from your dealer or info@hultaforsgroup.us.
What accessories are available for my ladder?
There are a number of smart accessories for your W.steps ladder. See the accessories section to see what's available.
Where can I buy my W.steps ladder?
W.steps products are available at ACME Tools® and other fine Hultafors Group North America dealers. Please visit our Retailers page for more information.
Can I wash the ladder with solvents or oil the tubing to make it slide easier?
W.steps does not recommend washing the ladder with solvents or oiling the tubing. This can make the ladder tacky and allow more dirt to adhere to the tubing, which will impair the telescopic function.
Ladder Use
What angle is optimal when using a W.steps ladder?
For safe use, the angle should be 75 degrees.
I can’t use my leaning ladder at an intermediate height. What should I do?
When using the ladder at its full height, pull it out from the top step. If it is to be used at lower heights, start with the step that is at the desired level and pull the ladder from this step until all the steps are secured.
It’s difficult to extend/retract my ladder. What can I do?
Clean all of the tubing with a soft cloth and lukewarm water, and then wipe the ladder dry. Read further under “Service & Maintenance” in your product manual if this does not solve the problem. The manuals can be downloaded from each product page.
At what temperatures (maximum/minimum) can you guarantee the normal use of a W.steps ladder?
Our heavy-duty ladders can be safely used between temperatures of -5°F and 150°F.
What is the maximum permitted weight for my ladder?
W.steps PRIME and COMBI ladders are certified up to 330 lbs. W.steps RESCUE ladders are certified up to 1,100 lbs.
